Title: Carpenter/Joiner

Location: Sydney, NSW

Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We are a reputable construction company based in Sydney, seeking an experienced Carpenter/Joiner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.

Key Responsibilities:

Measure and mark cutting lines on materials
Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws
Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, using carpenter’s hand and power tools
Inspect and replace damaged frameworks or other structures and fixtures
Prepare cost estimates for clients
Requirements:

Proven experience as a carpenter/joiner (minimum of 3 years)
Ability to read blueprints and building plans
Excellent knowledge of woodworking machinery, hand tools, and materials
Good understanding of basic math and measurement principles
Physical strength and stamina
Good communication and time management skills
Willingness to work areas including ACT and Regional NSW
Attention to detail
Certificate III in Carpentry/Joinery
